Description

Most standard thyroid screenings stop at TSH. That single marker leaves out a lot of the picture, including how much active thyroid hormone your body actually has available and whether your immune system is involved.

The Thyroid Advantage Panel looks at all of it:

  • TSH: the pituitary signal that tells your thyroid how hard to work
  • Free T4: the storage form of thyroid hormone circulating in your blood
  • Free T3: the active form your cells use for energy, metabolism, and body temperature
  • TPO Antibodies: an immune marker commonly elevated with Hashimoto’s
  • Thyroglobulin Antibodies: a second immune marker that can be elevated even when TPO is normal

Running the antibodies alongside the standard markers matters. Antibodies are often elevated years before TSH ever moves out of range, so this panel gives you a much earlier and more complete look at what is happening.

  4. Print the requisition, or pull it up on your phone, and bring it with you to your blood draw.
  5. Visit the Quest Diagnostics location closest to you. The email includes a link to find your nearest draw site.
  6. Your results come back through Rupa Health, and you will be notified as soon as they are ready.
