Consultation Process

THE BIG PICTURE

Your patient journey at Just In Health — what to expect, and when.

Intro Call

Schedule an optional 15-minute introductory call with one of our team members to see if we can help. If you are ready to begin care immediately, you may skip this step and proceed directly to the new patient consultation.

New Patient Paperwork

Please fill out the new patient paperwork so we can get to know you better. This gives you a good starting point for your first visit, where we can really dig into your health concerns. Plus, it's a great chance for you to start thinking more deeply about your own health history.

New Patient Consult

Week 0 — prepaid ahead of your appointment

In this consult, we'll dig into your history to see what's helped you and what hasn't. We'll chat about your daily life, review any outside labs if time allows, and figure out the best time to introduce new tests, supplements, and changes to your diet. The aim is to gather all the info we need so the doctor can tailor everything perfectly to your needs.

About outside labs (lab work done before joining the practice): Labs ordered by our office are reviewed at no extra charge. Outside labs may carry a review fee of $100–$300 per test, per review — email them to us in advance and we'll give you an exact quote before anything is charged. Any outside-lab review fee is charged after your new patient consult. The fee depends on volume (more pages means more of Dr. J's outside review time) and on how the labs will be used — a historical look at older labs is different from newer labs used to build your protocol moving forward.

Follow-Up Check-In

About 2 weeks after your new patient consult

Feeling overwhelmed after your new patient consultation is common. The first two weeks are critical to ensure a proper start, so about two weeks after your new patient consult, we'll check in to cover four things:

  1. Any questions from your new patient consult
  2. How you're doing with diet and lifestyle
  3. How you're doing with supplementation
  4. Making sure you have no questions on completing your lab tests and requisition forms

The only labs we may have time to review at this visit are outside labs or blood test results from tests ordered at your first visit (blood work usually comes back in just a few days). Your full lab review comes at the next visit.

Review Lab Results

Typically 4–5 weeks after your new patient consult

This is the dedicated lab review visit, where we go over your new lab test results and explain what they mean, helping paint a clearer picture of what your care will look like over the next six months. We'll make sure you're comfortable with the plan moving forward, address any deeper issues that come up, and tailor the plan even further — supplements, diet, and lifestyle changes that best suit your needs.

Check In On Progress

In these sessions, we review your progress, noting both wins and challenges. We ensure you're following the supplement program effectively and maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle. Remember, consistency is key to success.

Retesting Labs

As we address underlying hormone issues, gut infections, and toxicity stressors, retesting will be crucial to ensure that we are on the right track.

Wellness Care

Congratulations on getting your health concerns largely under control. At this stage, we may check in between two to four times a year to help ensure you stay on track. We will also conduct annual or biannual testing to make sure you are doing well.

Available Anytime: Nutrition & Lifestyle Support

There is a lot of customization that can be made, and if issues arise, there is always a solution. If you need extra support regarding your diet and lifestyle, we are here to help. While not everyone requires this additional support, if you do, we've got your back.

SUPPLEMENT SAFETY & REACTION GUIDE

How to introduce your supplements safely, and exactly what to do if you notice a reaction.

First things first: if you notice hives or a widespread rash, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, or trouble breathing or chest tightness, seek immediate medical care. The same goes for any symptom that is severe or rapidly worsening. Do not wait on email.

Are Supplements Safe?

Dr. J uses only the safest, cleanest, and most hypoallergenic supplement options available. That said, every individual responds differently, especially those with sensitive systems. Reactions are uncommon, but sensitive individuals may notice temporary digestive changes, skin reactions, fatigue, mood shifts, or other symptoms. This is why we introduce things gradually and keep an eye on how you respond.

1

Start Slowly

All supplements are introduced one at a time, increasing gradually, as outlined in our Supplement Adjustment Guide at justinhealth.com/reaction.

2

Follow the Matching Handout to a T

Our handouts are very in-depth and cover most of what comes up. If you notice a reaction, follow the recommendations right away, using the guide that matches what you're taking:

3

When in Doubt, Pause

Pause any newly introduced supplement right away and let our office know. Most mild reactions settle within a day or two. If things have not improved after 1 to 2 days, pause everything for 3 to 7 days until you are back to feeling normal.

Once things settle down, supplements are added back one at a time, gradually, starting at a lower dose than where you left off.

4

If You Are Not Feeling Stable, Schedule a Consult

If you are not feeling stable within 1 to 2 weeks, schedule a follow-up consult with Dr. J so your plan can be reviewed directly. You do not need to wait that long if something feels off. Reach out any time and we will point you to the right next step. We are happy to help right away.

Keep in mind that protocol and dose changes are made during a consultation, not by email.

Who Is Responsible for Monitoring Reactions?

Nutritional supplements are used at Dr. J's discretion as part of a functional medicine wellness program. Patients are responsible for monitoring their own response and communicating any concerns to our office. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Just In Health Wellness Clinic, Dr. Justin Marchegiani, and clinic staff are not liable for individual supplement reactions or sensitivities.

Full supplement policies are outlined in our Terms of Service.

Patient Guide

Your Follow-Up Consults: What to Expect and Why the Timing Matters

After your new patient consult you have two very different visits ahead. The first one comes fast on purpose. The second one waits until your labs are back. Here is what each visit does and why the early check in carries so much weight.

Week 1 to 2

Execution Consult

A working check in on how you are actually running the plan day to day. We troubleshoot friction early, while it is still small and easy to correct.

FocusDiet, lifestyle, supplements, lab instructions and any questions that came up once you started.

Week 4 to 5

Lab Review Consult

Once every result is in, Dr. Justin walks you through your labs in depth and builds the next phase of your program around what the testing shows.

FocusFull lab interpretation, targeted supplement protocols and the sequencing of your care.

Why the First Two Weeks Carry So Much Weight

Think of it like a ship leaving port. A couple of degrees off course at the dock is invisible. Nobody on board notices.

Two paths leaving the same port. One holds course. One drifts a few degrees off until the gap is wide. PORT On course A few degrees off

Days and weeks later, that same small drift puts you miles from where you meant to land. Small mistakes compound. If the start is rocky and nobody catches it, you can arrive at month two without having gained much ground at all.

Correcting a couple of degrees in week one takes a conversation. Correcting it a month later costs you a month. That is the entire reason your first follow-up is scheduled so close to your new patient consult.

The Week 1 to 2 Consult

This visit exists to confirm one thing: that you are on the right track. Nothing here is theoretical. We go through exactly what you are doing and where you are running into resistance.

  • DietWhat is on your plate, what is working and where meals are breaking down.
  • LifestyleSleep, stress load, movement and the daily rhythm around your plan.
  • SupplementsTiming, dosing, tolerance and how you are responding so far.
  • Lab instructionsConfirming you downloaded your requisition forms and know how to complete each test.
  • Open questionsAnything left over from your new patient consult now that you have put it into practice.
  • Early challengesThe obstacles that tend to show up in week one so we can solve them before they stick.

Before Your Week 1 to 2 Visit

  • Have your supplements in front of you, bottles and all.
  • Know roughly what you have been eating over the past several days.
  • Download your lab requisition forms and have them handy.
  • Write down every question that has come up since your new patient consult.

Ten minutes of prep makes this visit far more productive.

The Week 4 to 5 Lab Review

A completely different visit with a completely different job. We wait until all results are back so the picture is whole rather than piecemeal.

  1. All labs come in

Testing takes time to process. We schedule the review for when the full panel has returned.

  2. In depth interpretation

Dr. Justin goes marker by marker and connects the findings back to the symptoms you came in with.

  3. Supplement protocol build

This is where we move into protocol mode and design targeted programs based on what the results actually show.

  4. Care sequencing

We put everything in order so you know what comes first, what comes next and why. Organized and dialed in.

What Happens After the Lab Review

From there you move into a regular follow-up rhythm, usually every four to six weeks depending on your case. Each visit tracks your progress, adjusts your protocol and decides whether any retesting makes sense. Your schedule is set with you at the end of the lab review so you always know what comes next.

The Policy in One Look

All cancellations and reschedules require at least 3 business days notice and must be made online at www.justinhealth.com/schedule. We do not cancel or reschedule appointments by phone, text, or voicemail. Requests made through those channels will not be processed.

Appointments cancelled inside the 3 business day window, or missed entirely, are charged a fee equal to the full value of the scheduled visit.

Why We Have This Policy

This policy exists so our team can focus its time and energy on patients who are actively in care, rather than scrambling to fill last minute schedule changes. Late cancellations are very difficult to fill, which means Dr. Justin's consult time goes to waste when another patient could have used that spot. Advance notice keeps the schedule full, keeps wait times shorter for everyone, and lets our staff put their attention where it belongs: on your care.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

1

Log In Online

Go to www.justinhealth.com/schedule and click the Login button in the top right corner. If you have not set up a password yet, click Forgot Password and use the same email address you used to schedule your appointment. The reset link goes to that email. Once your password is set, log in and manage your schedule.

2

Use Your Reminder Email

Every reminder email contains a Modify button. Open the reminder email sent to the address you scheduled with and click Modify to cancel or reschedule directly. Tip: search your inbox for emails from office@justinhealth.com and your reminders will come right up.

Step by step instructions for both methods are at www.justinhealth.com/reschedule.

If you cannot log in and cannot locate a reminder email, send us an email at office@justinhealth.com before your 3 business day window closes.

How Business Days Are Counted

Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or holidays. For example, a Monday appointment must be changed by the prior Wednesday.

If you log in and the system will not allow the change, it is because you are already inside the 3 business day window. Please make any changes before that window closes.

Missed Consult Fee

The missed consult fee equals the full value of the scheduled visit and applies to all appointment types. If the invoice is not paid in a timely manner, we reserve the right to charge your card on file.

Confirmation and Reminder Emails

As a courtesy, our scheduling service emails a reminder the day your appointment is booked and again 1 to 7 days before your consult. Every reminder email includes a Modify button you can use to make changes. Please add office@justinhealth.com to your contacts or safe sender list so these are not filtered, and add the appointment to your personal calendar as a backup. Because of email and spam filters, we cannot guarantee delivery, so the 3 business day notice policy applies whether or not a reminder is received.

Credentials and Scope of Practice

What Dr. Justin does, and what he does not do

Dr. Justin holds a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. He is not a medical doctor (MD) and does not hold a medical license.

He does not diagnose or treat disease, prescribe medication, or provide medical treatment or emergency care.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

Never start, stop, or adjust a prescribed medication based on anything discussed here, and keep an ongoing relationship with your primary care physician for all medical concerns.

All services through Just In Health are functional wellness consultation only. They are not chiropractic care and not medical care. The approach is systems-based rather than disease-based.

Disease-based care

Names a condition and matches it to a drug or a procedure. Built for acute illness, injury, and emergencies, where it is the right call.

Systems-based care

Asks which body systems are under stress, why they got there, and what the body needs to function better. It works upstream of the symptom.

The systems he looks at

  • DigestionGut terrain, enzyme output, and nutrient absorption
  • HormonesThyroid, adrenal, cortisol, and sex hormone patterns
  • Blood sugarGlucose regulation and metabolic reserve
  • DetoxificationLiver function, elimination pathways, and toxic burden
  • Immune and inflammationImmune signaling and total inflammatory load
  • Stress and sleepNervous system tone, recovery, and sleep quality

How the work is done

Dr. Justin identifies the physical, chemical, and emotional stressors pulling those systems out of balance, then works to remove what is in the way and supply what is missing.

  • Functional lab testing that looks past standard reference ranges
  • A full review of diet, digestion, sleep, stress, and daily patterns
  • Individualized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement strategy based on your results
  • Ongoing adjustments as your labs and symptoms change

The goal is to support the body’s own capacity to heal and function well.

Ready to look at the whole picture?

All recommendations are educational and are designed to work alongside, not replace, the care of your licensed medical providers. Keep your physician informed of any changes you make.

Please note: the prices below are broad examples, not a fixed menu. Dr. J has a deep tool belt of lab tests and supplement options, and what you actually need depends entirely on your unique case. The real customization happens during your new patient consult.
1

Start With Your New Patient Consult

$399  |  Includes a comprehensive case review and a personalized health plan built around your top health priorities.

If you are on the fence, start here. There is no lab or supplement commitment required. You walk away with something valuable either way: a clear picture of what is going on and a roadmap for what to do about it. Dr. J has spent over 15 years helping over 5,000 patients get to the root cause of their health challenges, and this consult is where that process begins.

2

Targeted Lab Testing

Dr. J has access to a wide range of lab tests, far beyond what is listed here. The ranges below are simply a broad example to give you a ballpark. We typically start with one to three lab tests. The more information we have, the more puzzle pieces we have to work with, and the clearer the picture becomes for solving your case.

Hormone System (Body System 1)$100 to $450
Digestion and Infections (Body System 2)$400 to $450
Detox, Nutrients and Toxicity (Body System 3)$300 to $450

All recommendations are made during your consultation and tailored to your current concerns. Testing can be consolidated or staged over time to fit your financial comfort zone.

3

Personalized Supplement Plan

Just like labs, there are many supplement options available, and your plan is customized to your lab results and current phase of healing. Monthly costs typically range from $50 to $400, depending on your test results, your health priorities (adrenal, infection, gut support), and how long you have been dealing with your health challenges.

4

Follow-Up Consults to Keep You on Track (Existing Patients Only)

Billed in time-block increments, so you only pay for the time you need:

45 to 60 minutes$299
30 to 45 minutes$225
1 to 30 minutes$150

Follow-ups are typically recommended every 4 to 5 weeks to track progress, fine-tune your plan, and keep momentum going.

How We Keep Costs Manageable

Your plan flexes with you. Here is how we keep things dialed in:

  • We start with one to three lab tests, not all of them
  • Testing can be staged over time instead of all at once
  • Supplement plans scale up or down based on your budget and priorities
  • Your plan is reviewed and adjusted at every follow-up

We will always work within your budget. Deeper or long-standing issues may benefit from a fuller approach, and we will walk you through the tradeoffs so you can decide what pace feels right for you.

Progress Isn't a Straight Line, and That's Okay

Waiting it out Your journey with a plan valleys are part of the climb

Real healing looks like the green line: upward overall, with a few valleys along the way. That is completely normal. The most important thing is that you are doing something to help move forward every day. Small, consistent steps build momentum, and momentum is what carries you up the mountain.

Because here is what we see when health challenges get put off: things tend to drift backwards over time. And the cost is not just financial. We pay with quality of life too. Whatever pace you choose, gentle or accelerated, moving forward beats standing still.

Ready to Get Specific?

Most people wait months or years hoping things will improve on their own. In our experience, chronic issues rarely do, and waiting often makes the road back longer. The fastest way to clarity is a new patient consult where we dig into your history, your symptoms, and your goals, then build a plan that fits both your health and your budget.

Follow-Up Policy Preview v7
Just In Health Wellness Clinic

Follow-Up and Returning Patient Policy

Consistent follow-up is what makes a protocol work. Here is exactly how visit timing is handled, so you always know what to expect before you book.

The policy

If more than 6 months have passed since your last consultation, a new patient consult is required.

This is the default outcome, not a case by case judgment call. It applies automatically once you pass the 6 month mark, regardless of where you are in your care.

0 mo 1 2 3 6 12 mo
Active care, ideal 1 to 2 months
Wellness and maintenance, quarterly to biannual
Past the 6 month gate, new patient consult required

Your care rhythm changes as you progress

How often you should be seen depends on where you are in your care, not a single fixed number.

Active care
Every 1 to 2 months

This is the ideal cadence while we are actively working through your key issues. No longer than 2 to 3 months apart during this phase.

Wellness and maintenance
Quarterly to biannual

Once your key issues are largely resolved and you are stabilized, it is natural to check in less often. Quarterly or biannual visits keep you on track.

What this means when you book

One simple check decides your visit type: how long it has been since your last consult.

Within 6 months
Standard follow-up consult

Your file, labs, and current protocol carry forward. We pick up where we left off, whether you are in active care or wellness and maintenance.

More than 6 months
New patient consult required

A full reassessment and new intake are needed before we can move forward with your care.

The only exception

An exception is possible only if you speak with our team in advance and we confirm the deviation before your appointment is booked. Exceptions are granted at Dr. Justin's discretion, based on your history and the complexity of your case.

Without that confirmation in advance, the new patient consult stands. Exceptions cannot be requested or applied at the time of your appointment.

Why the 6 month mark matters

Your labs, symptoms, medications, and stress load shift over time. A protocol built on outdated information is no longer the right protocol for you.

Longer gaps also take more clinical time to review properly. A new patient consult reserves the time needed to go through everything carefully rather than rushing an update that would not serve you.

Our recommendation

Match your visit cadence to your phase of care.

While we are actively working through your key issues, every 1 to 2 months is ideal, and no longer than 2 to 3 months. Once you are stabilized and your key issues are largely resolved, it is natural to space visits out further, and quarterly or biannual check-ins are ideal for staying on top of your wellness.

Whichever phase you are in, staying within the 6 month window keeps your file current and avoids a full re-intake.

Ready to get back on track?

If you are unsure how long it has been, reach out first and we will check your file and confirm which visit type you need. Let us know.

Scheduling and consultation policies are subject to change and will always be reflected in our current Terms of Service and New Patient Forms.

Your New Patient Consult: What to Expect

A clear look at how your first visit works and what happens next.

Start Here: This Is an Information-Gathering Visit

The new patient consult is designed for Dr. Justin to learn about you: your history, your habits, and your health challenges. It is not a treatment visit, and that is by design. Gathering the full picture first means your plan is built on evidence, not guesswork, so you are not spending money on labs or supplements you may not need.

Your full plan comes at the follow-up consult, once new labs have been ordered and reviewed. Recommendations are then refined over time as your feedback and results come in. This is the same process Dr. Justin has used with thousands of patients over 15+ years of practice.

Length: 45 to 60 minutes

Format: Telemedicine, from wherever you are

Investment: $399, which includes a comprehensive case review and your personalized health direction

You Will Leave Your First Visit With:

  • A clear direction on where your health challenges are likely coming from
  • A prioritized set of recommended lab tests, tailored to your case and budget
  • Initial diet and lifestyle guidance you can start on right away

What We Cover

1What Has Worked and What Has Not

We review your past experiences with practitioners and with self-directed care, so we can do more of what worked for you and less of what did not.

2Complete Metabolic History

We look at gut health, respiration, neurological function, and other body systems, along with relevant family history. This points us in the right direction and helps prioritize your recommendations.

3Timeline History

Dr. Justin uses his own timeline process to map your health from birth to today. We identify when you felt your best and highlight the key setbacks and breakthroughs along the way. This timeline gives us important clues about what may have helped you and what may have set you back.

4Diet and Lifestyle History

We assess your diet, movement, sleep, and daily habits to gauge how much ongoing support you will need. Some patients want extra follow-up coaching, others need very little. Your program meets you where you are.

5Previous Labs, Briefly Reviewed

We scan any previous labs for red flags. Results from the past year and out-of-range values carry the most weight. Dr. Justin reads results through both conventional and optimal health ranges.

Please upload your prior labs ahead of time so they are on file. Note that the review itself happens live during your consult rather than beforehand, so we can walk through the findings together.

About longer lab reviews: Dr. Justin can typically review 1 to 3 shorter reports, meaning roughly 5 pages or fewer each, during this visit. More extensive reviews may involve an interpretation fee of $100 to $300 depending on page count. Any fee is quoted and approved by you before any work begins.

6New Labs

Based on everything above, we recommend 1 to 4 functional medicine labs covering areas such as hormones, gut health and infections, and detoxification. These help identify possible root causes behind your health challenges.

If you would like to scale recommendations up or down, just tell Dr. Justin and the office, and we will calibrate to your needs and your budget.

You are always in control. You approve everything before it is ordered. Nothing is automatic, and your plan is always calibrated to your comfort level and budget.

A note on costs: lab testing and supplements are billed separately from your consult fee.

How to Prepare

A few things to have ready so your visit runs smoothly:

  • Your completed new patient form (link at the bottom of this page)
  • Any prior labs, uploaded in advance so they are on file
  • A current list of your supplements and medications
  • A quiet space with a good internet connection for your telemedicine visit

What Happens Next

Two follow-up visits are built into the process, and they serve different purposes.

Visit 1  ·  1 to 2 Weeks Later

Your Check-In Consult

A short visit to make sure you are set up for success. We cover:

  • Any questions that have come up since your first visit
  • How you are doing with the diet
  • How you are doing with supplementation
  • Whether you were able to download your requisition forms and complete your lab tests

Visit 2  ·  4 to 5 Weeks Later

Your Lab Review Consult

This is where your plan takes shape. The timing allows all of your new lab results to arrive so they can be reviewed together rather than piece by piece. Reading them as a full picture is what makes the findings meaningful.

Keep in Mind

New lab results always require a follow-up consult so your protocol can be built from them properly.

Pace is flexible. Some patients start slower, some move faster. Both are fine. What matters is taking consistent steps in the right direction.

Realistic expectations help us work better together and improve your chances of reaching your health goals.

Depending on the type of test, samples may be saliva, urine, stool or blood. Most tests are completed at home using easy self-administered kits. Blood tests are ordered through Rupa Health, and you will receive a requisition to take to a local draw site.

Dr. Justin has learned over many years that the accuracy of your lab findings and the quality of the professionals performing the lab tests is the key to you uncovering what’s going on. Quality is not equal across all lab companies. Many times we see “normal” test results from regular lab companies and our lab tests find many “functional” problems. The lab companies used by Dr. Justin have the highest testing standards and the most consistent lab results year after year. These are not replacements for regular medical tests, these tests are only used to detect “functional” issues rather than medical problems and aren’t meant to diagnose or recommend protocols for diseases. We are attempting to detect problems with the functioning of organ systems prior to the onset of a disease.

Dr. Justin's premium supplement range is designed with precision to ensure maximum efficacy. Each dosage is carefully calibrated to boost health outcomes. Our supplements are stored in a controlled setting and sourced directly from trusted manufacturers, which helps maintain their potency and purity by preventing contamination from harmful substances such as lead, mold, and mercury. We understand you might consider other options, but we advise sticking with Dr. Justin's recommended supplements. We cannot endorse or advise on other brands due to varying standards of ingredient quality and sourcing. Similar to how a fast-food burger differs greatly from one made with organic, pasture-fed beef in terms of nutritional value and health impact, not all supplements are created equal. Please be particularly cautious with purchases from online marketplaces like Amazon, where the risk of encountering counterfeit products is significant. Just In Health is committed to the highest quality standards through:

  • Raw Material Quality: We select only the highest quality ingredients, such as premium coq10 sourced from reputable suppliers, to ensure our supplements are both potent and pure, directly contributing to better patient outcomes.
  • Freshness Assurance: We manage our inventory to ensure supplements are delivered promptly, reducing the time they spend in storage and maintaining their effectiveness.
  • Climate-Controlled Storage: Our supplements are kept in a carefully regulated environment to prevent spoilage and guarantee their efficacy from storage to delivery.
  • Independently tested: To assess for heavy metals, mold, and other toxins that could be contained in the raw material of the supplement.
Please note that seeking supplements outside our recommended protocol may lead to discontinuation of care. This policy ensures we can maintain confidence in the potency, purity, and dosages of your supplements. While the intention to find alternatives may be well-meaning, choosing clinically tested products from our selection guarantees a higher level of clinical certainty and better health outcomes. For further reading on the risks of purchasing supplements from unreliable sources, please review the following articles:

Our authorized laboratories are only able to sell test kits to licensed practitioners. Dr. Justin uses specific lab tests from small lab companies that exclusively offer functional medicine tests. Larger national labs and local hospital based labs are not helpful for these types of highly specialized tests.

Dr. Justin does all lab review sessions and will design your protocol during your lab results consultation. The rest of our team helps with follow up, nutritional and lifestyle coaching as well as with disseminating all of our health and wellness educational information.

Please schedule according to how many lab tests you have and/or add extra time if you have more questions. You will only be charged for the time you need, not the time you schedule. Just give it your best guess.

Lab turnover time:

Blood test (5 business days from the blood draw).

MDL blood or ZRT test (1.5 weeks from when mailed).

DRG test (10 days from when mailed).

GI MAP (4 weeks from when mailed).

Organix test (4 weeks from when mailed).

Salivary Tests: 201, 205, 208, 209 (2 weeks from when mailed).

401 H stool test: (2 weeks from when mailed).

Heavy metal urine test (2 weeks from when mailed).

The results of your lab test(s) will be sent to Dr. Justin 2 to 4 weeks after mailing your specimens to the lab. Dr. Justin will evaluate the results. If you aren't on schedule, you will be contacted to schedule a follow-up appointment. Specific blood work can be billed to the patient’s insurance; this depends upon your insurance type and your deductible. Cash discount options can be used to purchase blood work when insurance is unavailable. The patient is responsible for any lab work their insurance does not cover.

Additionally, per our policy, lab results will not be released until all outstanding balances are paid in full and a follow-up consultation with Dr. J is completed. Providing labs without context and proper review devalues their usefulness and goes against our clinical standards.

Some patients may have copious labs for Dr. J to review at the new patient consult. Dr. J can review 1-3 shorter lab tests within the new patient consult. To set aside time to review labs before the new patient consultation or follow-up consultation, there may be a lab interpretation fee between $100 and $300, depending on the number of lab pages.

The number of labs recommended will depend on your individual situation including the number of issues you struggle with and the length of time you have been experiencing them, but the range is 1-4 lab tests.

The number of labs recommended will depend on your individual situation including the number of issues you struggle with and the length of time you have been experiencing them, but the range is 1-4 lab tests.

We encourage clients to book 1-2 months in advance. Depending on the time of the year, we can usually schedule a new patient or lab results appointment within 1-2 months of the requested time.

We do have after hour consultations so patients can get in faster if they want to get in faster if it's an emergency or if feel their health can't wait. These consults have a higher consult price to ensure there is availability.

Background/Communication

Dr. Justin no longer sees patients in person at a physical office location.

He works with patients virtually via phone or video consultations, serving clients from all over the world.

Note: Phone is the default method unless video is requested ahead of time or during the session.

It's very important we keep good two-way communication if any issues occur as most of the times there are solutions for them.

If you are feeling overwhelmed the best step is to schedule a consult asap to review progress and break up the next steps in your health journey into smaller chunks so you feel less overwhelmed.

Cost / Insurance

Everything you need to know before making a change, so there are no surprises.

Schedule Your New Patient Consult

Not quite ready? Book a free 15-minute intro consult first to ask questions and make sure we are the right fit. Zero pressure.

Already booked? Complete your new patient paperwork here.

We offer new patient consultations with family who are refered in at a discount of $100 off the typical new patient consult rate to see Dr. J.

The new patient consultation is an assessment of your health and recommendations on what tests are required to understand the state of your body systems. The new patient consultation fee does not include any follow ups, test kits or supplements. It does include extensive wellness resources including videos, books and handouts accessible in the members area and via email.

There are no discounts available at this time.

We do not bill insurance companies; it is up to each individual to determine whether their insurance plan provides reimbursement for consultations, supplements and lab tests. With certain labs we help facilitate the lab company billing the patient's insurance. If there are any issues with the billing, it is the patients responsibility to contact the lab to address the matter.

All patient invoices are super-bill coded and list CPT and diagnosis codes that you may submit to your insurance company. Our superbills provide the codes for consultations and lab tests. Most insurance companies will not reimburse for supplements. Please note that we cannot guarantee reimbursement. This will depend on your individual plan. HSA and flex savings account can be used for payment as well.

The payment is due after the consultation, the patient will receive an emailed invoice where payment can be entered online to finalize the invoice.

Methods of payment are: Digital Checks (no mailed checks), Visa, MasterCard, HSA, Flex-savings, Discover or debit card.

No need to worry, our invoicing system adds late fees automatically, and they're easy to avoid. If you contact us within two business days after your consult to request changes, no late fee will apply. If you'd like to hold off on supplements or labs (consults excluded), we're happy to move them to a separate invoice you can pay when the timing works better for you. Just keep in mind that labs and supplements ship once payment comes through. You can also ask Dr. J during your consult to leave supplements or labs off your invoice and order them later through our shop: www.justinhealth.com/shop For new patients, we waive the first late fee as a one-time courtesy. The full policy is in the cover letter that comes with every emailed invoice. If you reached out within the two business day window and still see a late fee on your invoice, we will gladly remove it. Why we have this policy:
  • It encourages timely payment, just like an in-person visit.
  • It keeps labs, supplements, and follow-up care on track while Dr. J's recommendations are still fresh.
  • It cuts down on rescheduling and delays in your care.
If you have any questions, let us know.

The intro consult requires a deposit of $20 to hold your consult. The $20 deposit can be applied as a credit to your new patient consult.

For patients who continue with care, the intro consult is complimentary.

The office has a 3 business day cancellation policy. Any last-minute cancellations or missed consults will forfeit the $20 deposit.

Supplement recommendations can range between $50 to $400 per month. Supplements are recommended specifically on a case by case basis depending on patients individual body system lab testing for the their hormones, digestion, infections, detox, and nutritional deficiencies. It's also dependent on what phase of care the patient maybe in, as some phases of care overlap. This may occur like when infections are being addressed while supporting the adrenal and digestion.

The factors that can influence supplement recommendations also include the patient's current diet, lifestyle, sleep, work and home stress. Other variables can include your age and how long you have been dealing with health challenges for.

Supplementation recommendation can also be adjusted to a patients budget. The biggest issue is making sure expectations are managed. The more health challenges a patient is currently dealing with may require more supplementation to help accelerate their healing.

Realistic expectations help patients to be more compliant on their health journey. If a patient is currently dealing with massive stress (work or relationship stress) that can't be avoided at the time, our goals maybe more to prevent health decline than actually heal and improve ones health. Everyone's at a different place in their health journey so Dr. J's goal is to help meet a patient where they are at on their journey.

Lab Interpretation Fee

Many patients come to their first consult with older labs from their health history. Dr. J is happy to look through one to three shorter historical labs during the visit at no extra charge, simply to get a sense of where you have been and how your health has evolved over time. Newer or more in depth labs are a different situation, especially results that will be used to shape your active care plan. These require careful review outside the consult itself, so a lab interpretation fee of $100 to $300 per lab may apply. The amount depends on the length and complexity of each test, and whether the fee applies is determined by Dr. J. If you are not sure which category your labs fall into, reach out to the office before your visit and we will be glad to check with Dr. J for you.
New patient consultations with Dr. J $399. After hour consults are available for $100 more. New patient consults may be shorter or longer depending on patients questions and issues. All follow up consultations (For existing patients only) are billed in 15-minute blocks. 45-60 minute follow-up: $299 30-45 minutes follow-up: $225 1-30 minutes follow-up $150 Late fees are added automatically, but if you let us know within the first two business days that you need to adjust an invoice, no late fees will be charged.  Click here for more info on our late fee policy. *Follow up consultations will be billed for the actual time block used, not the time block you schedule. Many patients underestimate how much time is needed to address their concerns.

Body System 1 Tests (Hormone System): Range between $100-$450.

Body System 2 Tests (Digestion & Infections): Around $400-$450

Body System 3 Tests (Detox & Nutrients): $400-450

Test recommendations are specifically recommended at the time of new patient consult and follow consults. Our recommendations are based on getting the optimal information depending on what the patient is dealing with healthwise. Our recommendations can be adjusted and consolidated to help meet the patient's budget. Doing something is always better than nothing. Creating a program where at least 1 test can be taken is a great starting point.

Program Overview

Functional Medicine, rather than targeting individual symptoms, focuses on the optimal functioning of the entire body and its organs. It addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach in partnership with understanding the conditions and history in which the disease manifested. Genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors all have a direct influence of long-term health and chronic health issues.

Dr. Justin's Method is a functional medicine lab based health approach focused on addressing five common conditions – weight gain, fatigue, depression, female hormone and digestive problems – through restoring the 3 main body systems: hormones, digestion and detoxification.

Results vary by each person. Some people feel dramatic improvement within the first month, others may take a bit longer. Our standard programs are for a minimum of 6 months. Remember, your body didn’t fail overnight. Years of stress and illness takes its toll and it takes a proper amount of time to restore. On average it takes one month of repair for each year you’ve suffered from a specific problem.

Dr. Justin's Method addresses the 5 most chronic symptoms of weight gain, fatigue, depression, hormone imbalances and digestive problems that are typically misunderstood/misdiagnosed by conventional medicine practitioners who attempt to address the symptoms, not the root cause/damaged system. Dr. Justin's Method is a lab-based natural health protocol that tests and identifies the dysfunction of the 3 core main body systems. Typically these 3 main systems have become compromised long BEFORE the symptoms appeared. The lab tests are used to determine the required natural support needed to rebalance your body back to its normal state.

Dr. Justin's health protocol has been tested and proven with 10 years of clinical experience by over 2,000 patients. With that said, it depends on the diligence of each client in following their daily protocol and making lifestyle changes that only they can be responsible for implementing.

Dr. Justin is committed to assisting and empowering his clients to take back their health and experience life changing results if they are committed to the process.

We see a 90% plus sucess rate with patients. Some patients have multiple infections and have been sick for decades, so the speed at which someone heals will be different for each person.

Protocols

These are natural, plant based products that support and balance the adrenal glands and are combined into customized wellness plans based on individual lab results.

Depending on the results of your lab tests, Dr. Justin uses different combinations of DHEA, pregnenolone, and all of the herbs, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals required for adrenal recovery.

While retesting isn’t required, it is recommended that a client retest at the 6 month mark to measure improvement and adjust protocols if needed. Once a client has achieved their desired health results, we recommend annual testing to ensure your body systems continue functioning at their best.

Initial programs range anywhere from 3-6 months depending on the degree of your health condition.

The goal of the Justin Method is to mimic the body’s natural reproduction of its own hormones and we only use products that naturally occur in the body to restore your internal production of adrenal hormones.
